Another day, another 1lb loss. Surely this can't go on for much longer?!
17st 9lbs - 247lbs - BMI 41.1 (not morbid for much longer...)
There must be a great big plateau heading my way soon. All you expert bandsters out there - for how long after surgery did you consistently lose weight? How much did you lose before you plateaued (or, dare I say it, even gained during Bandster Hell)?
Last night's 'one little drinkie' turned into a marathon four-and-a-half hours at the pub and three glasses of white wine. That's the latest I've been out since I don't know when! The joys of being a new mum, eh? But this weekend hubby and the small boy have gone oop north to visit Grandma and Grandad so I had a little bit of time to myself, which was lovely! I went to the hairdressers, did a little shopping, went for coffee, read my book, read a magazine, did some work (boo hiss). And, as a treat to myself for losing a stone, I bought three new books:
The Children's Book is our latest Book Club offering; The Little Stranger is the next Book Club offering, and Tea-Time for the Traditionally Built (love that expression, might have to adopt it) is the latest in the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series which I love. Has anyone read either of the Book Club books? Do you have anything you'd like to say about them? Good or bad?
Oh, and after my dilemma of 'should I tell, shouldn't I tell', no one commented on my weightloss when we met up last night, although a couple of people did say I looked nice. Might have been my hair though, since I'd 'just stepped out of a salon'!
It sounds like you had a great time! What a treat to have a luxurious weekend without children :). I would have had three drinks too!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour weightloss is going great. I think everyone is different. It will probably slow up eventually but enjoy the ride as long as you can and worry about the slow down or stop later.
I have the first ladies detective ladies book an have not yet read it. I need to. My husband and I loved the TV series when it was on this last year. I have not heard of the others but they sound good.
